Information on substance misuse

This section aims to provide you with basic facts about some of the most widely available drugs on the UK market.  These facts are designed to help people make informed choices about what they do with their bodies.  It is in no way an endorsement or encouragement to drug use.

Mainliners works under a harm reduction ethos.  Harm reduction recognises the human reality that people do take drugs and are not always able to quit.   However, because we understand that the damage caused by drugs radiates outwards to individuals and communities already marginalised, we believe that working to minimise this damage should be a first priority.

Despite this, abstinence from the dependency of drug use will always be the ultimate desired outcome.
