Mainliners runs several programmes which seek to extend our mission of harm reduction and service user involvement in substance misues and blood borne virus issues.

UK Hepatitis C Resource Centre

The UK Hepatitis C Resource Centre is one of the leading UK charities dedicated to easing the harm caused by blood borne viruses.  The Resource Centre works with UK Governments, public health bodies, private and public sector research institutes and the voluntary sector, to ensure not only that our members are kept up to date on the current movements and initiatives but also that service user voices are heard at all levels of decision making.

It works from the belief that through Informing, Education and Advocating, the Resource Centre and the wider voluntary sector can play a leading role in reducing the amount of new infections, and help those living with the virus to do so more positively.

C Plus

C Plus is the information, advice and support service for people living with or affected by Hepatitis C in the Lothians region.  Its goal is to help you live positively with hepatitis C and ensure that individuals and communities have access to the best advice and support on how to remain healthy and happy.

SMART

SMART is the Streatham Mainliners Assessment Referral Team, established in 1999, as a direct-access service for the growing number of people with drug related issues in the South Lambeth area of London. The service is funded by Lambeth Primary Care Trust to provide information and advice on harm reduction, safer sex practices, safer injecting and HIV/HCV prevention

Training

Mainliners provides tailored training courses around substance use, blood borne viruses, sex working and harm reduction across all sectors and levels.  We can provide bespoke training on almost any combination of issues around drug misuse.

Conferences

Mainliners runs a range of regional, national and international conferences dedicated to encouraging the promotion of hepatitis C as a major public health concern, the development of service users participation in service delivery and fostering links amongst all sectors to ensure a robust response to the challenges faced by the virus.
