BBV Training

Introduction

These one day courses are an introduction to Blood Borne Viruses for those working with people at risk of contracting BBV's. The Viruses covered are Hepatitis A, B & C as well as HIV. Topics covered include the damage the viruses do the the systems of the body, transmission routes, testing (Including dry blood spot testing) , treatment and support.

Trainer - Duncan Keys

Duncan Keys has worked in the Blood Borne Virus field at the UK Hepatitis C Resource Centre since 2004. The Centre is a Mainliners Project funded by the Scottish Executive. It offers easily accessible advice, information and support services for both professionals and members of the public. Beyond this, Duncan has over 20 years of experience in delivering training and giving support
