Projects

The Resource Centre runs several projects across the UK which extend our ethos of Informing, Educating and Advocating for those affected by or at risk of hepatitis C.

These include;

  • Be Blood Aware

Be Blood Aware is an innovative intervention tool designed to highlight to individuals and organisations the main risk factors behind the transmission of hepatitis C.

  • Peer Involvement Project

The Peer Involvement Project (PIP) seeks to ensure wider voluntary sector involvement in Hepatitis C issues and to secure meaningful input from service users.  The project works through short term interventions around briefing events, consultancy and training and sets up local partnerships to ensure a ‘legacy' is maintained once the initial intervention is completed.

  • Scottish Hepatitis C Patients Forum

Launched at the Scottish Hepatitis C Stakeholder's Conference in Perth on October 1st, the Forum will aim to directly influence the delivery of Hepatitis C services in Scotland.  People affected by hepatitis C often report feeling isolated, undervalued and badly informed. The Patient Forum will work to address these and other barriers

The UK Hepatitis C Resource Centre also runs an Information Line which is open to anyone and offers information, advice and a friendly ear to anyone with complete confidentiality.
