Treating Children

In England and Wales, the NICE guidlines apply and treatment is not recommended for those under 18.

In Scotland the SIGN, Guidlines apply and they reccomend treatment for children who are having liver problems because of their Hepatitis C.

The decision in the end is down to the individual specialist and the patient. On the whole, treatment is available for children though there may be times when the decision made is to wait and watch the condition of the child's liver
